Man in the Moon (colored)

Colored porcelain Lithophane night light. A ''lithophane'' is an etched carving in porcelain. When lit from behind, the light shining through the different thicknesses of the carving causes a highly detailed image to appear, almost magically. The etched surface in front produces the shading, while the ceramic glaze kiln-fired onto the back of the piece creates the color in this richly detailed night light.
