720 Glassworks
James and Andrea Stanford make 100% of their original 720 Signature Series at their home studio in St. Augustine, FL. Borosilicate glass (generally pyrex) is hand blown and sculpted using a 5000 degree torch for a heat source and then annealed in a kiln. Raw clear tubing and rods are ordered from glass distribution sites specializing in scientific glass to which they add color through various techniques while using their imagination as inspiration. Much of the jewelry is created by fusing soft glass sheets and cutting and grinding for a finished, polished, and unique design.
